I'm fine with the latter but would rather see a wild card like USC be added since I'm a firm believer in the last half of the season counting far more than the beginning.

Championship is a joke. Winner of rose bowl could be best team besides bama.

As a Bama fan I'm slightly relieved but good grief what a joke of a playoff.

Washington was completely dominated by USC. There is absolutely no reason for the Pac-12 to have an "automatic". The game against Bama will be a ratings disaster and snoozefest.
