If I did it's not like he's going to be audited.

The sport needs these type of horses like Chrome to run. It's not like there's a need for more horses in the shed.

Great f!@#$%^ DAY!

The last race may have been the best. Thought Chrome was home. Arrogate might just be something beyond special. I think Chrome is special and I would've taken Chrome every inch of the way until the final sixteenth. Maybe the best Cup I've seen in the decade I've been watching. Both horses might be special. No. They are special. It was what, the entire length of the stretch back to Keen Ice? Come on. That was awesome. Thank you to the connections for that. I feel blessed just to have been able to watch these past two days. Can't imagine what it was like to actually been part of that show. Thank you!

Would be some craziness to keep Chrome in training for a rematch in Del Mar. But they should really think about it. The chance of him becoming a long term sire is slim. One more year Rematch next year would be epic. Let's do it!

Thank you!

Hall of fame ride by Mike Smith on Arogate. Realized he had a ton left, horse not responding left handed. I can't tell you how many pinheads I've seen that would have just continued to waylay left handed.

He settles a half second, then a quick right hand...surprised the horse, woke up and drew away.

Arogate looks like he is going to be a monster.

Had a pretty decent weekend. 3 wins, 3,seconds and a third.

When he took back off Melatonin on the backside everyone around me thought he was toast. He tucked inside on the turn, tipped out and when he set that colt down he fired!

Forgot the rule that only older horses can be monsters.

Arrogate is the total package. He has the most raw talent of any horse I've seen since Ghostzapper. Just an effortless mover who can do everything tactically.

He won the race when he went inside of Melatonin on the far turn. If he stays outside he loses. Great ride on both horses. Great race.

Pretty sure Arrogate just proved he already IS a monster! Not sure any other horse in the world runs down Chrome tonight.

Ok sure. Might wanna check the M. Smith interview after the race.

Hands DOWN the best BC weekend of races since I became a fan in 2004!

Classic Empire made me look like a genius today as I touted him heavily to anyone that asked me today at the party what my best bet was.

Flintshire not catching Highland Reel made me look stupid not even 3 minutes after explaining how the majority of turf races are run and are won by horses from off the pace (probably not even statistically true haha). "Hey, I said the MAJORITY" were my exact post-race words.

All in all it was an unbelievable weekend of racing. Ive been sick since Thursday and the only remedy for my illness was great racing. Cures better than 'more cowbell', that's for sure!

Hope everyone crushed it -- esp Steve! Awesome tabbing!

Just checked it. This is from Mike Smith according to the Santa Anita post race transcript: "I winded up cutting the corner going into the far turn, and that really helped a lot. Because once I switched over and dropped into the far turn, he really picked it up at that point, able to get him back outside." Pretty sure that was the winning move, which was the move I was referring in the original post. Not sure if I missed something in the interview. It seems that I did from your inference so I apologize. Please let me know if I did so I can make notes moving forward and handicap accordingly.

Thanks again for the heads up. Appreciate it.

The intent of my previous post was to agree with your premise that it was a hall of fame ride that won the classic. I apologize if it came off as antagonistic. That was not the intent.
