Default 25 years ago today......

Grateful Dead came high stepping into Boston for a 6 night run after a long absence. Very highly anticipated by heads everywhere, especially in the Boston area. It was an epic run to say the least. The west coast fans could not believe how vocal and raucous the Boston garden was. One of the truly great concert venues with balcony seats that practically hung out over the stage and rocked like they were coming down. The band was in top form for the entire run and may never have played as well again. Help>Slip > Fire in the second set. This was no foolin around fall tour hockey arena stuff. Not spring tour la di da, or summer tour football stadium hits show. The real McCoy was what it was. Good times for all involved. I still feel privileged to have gone to all 6 shows . The Black Throated wind started off a little uneven, but the second half was scorching hot. Almost too hot for the song. Crowd was going nuts with big ovation afterwards. Very uplifting tune that night that really set the tone for the run

Unbelievably, 200+ shows and never once made it to Boston Garden. Got fall 95' mail order but you know the deal. My favorite shows attended that year were Cap Centre Rubin and Cherise breakout and Sandstone Amphtheater shows in summer.

Like getting taken down in the pick 6 that day....from the joy of the arrival of the tickets one minute to the news of Jerry the next...

Took my lawyer to the wed show for his first show. After the show, he said " no wonder you and your brother go all over the place to see those guys. "

3 times...early 80's

Capitol Theater in beautiful Passaic N.J.

The old Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands outside with Willie Nelson....

MSG...don't remember much. Never made it to my seat because of some acid we bought at the Port Authority.
