Monster effort from American Freedom.

What an audible by Keith Desormeaux to enter the race.

Agreed, but not from the idiot on his back who was on a kamikaze mission. Exaggerator could not have gotten a better setup, American Freedom was much the best there IMO.

Did Bejarano really say that the contact cost him the race? What planet is he on?

Oh gimme a break, Kent just got through saying on tv that Raphael'd said on the backstretch that 'it's a million dollar race, I gotta take a shot' basically. He figured there was a really outside chance they might have a problem with it which is > than the 0% chance of a win if he *doesn't* challenge, so there's nothing wrong with trying. I'm sure he did his best to claim it cost him on the phone, but the stewards know they're gonna get some acting here so they take it with a grain of salt. Everybody knows what's going on.

Technically he did lug in, it just didn't matter. Jerry Bailey didn't blame RB either for the same reason, the million dollar purse. Those of you acting like he's insane or awful for challenging apparently can't fathom that he's just doing his job as any other decent jockey would've.

There was no chance that Exaggerator was being taken down, it was a frivolous objection. What difference does it make that it was a million dollar race? It certainly doesn't make the objection less frivolous (and I say this having bet American Freedom to win).

They are reacting to his TV interview after the race, not just his challenge. He was being a drama queen.
