LOL - that took me a second but I like the fauxchahontas reference. Was it 1/16th or 1/32nd native american blood that Senator Warren claimed to have?

Very convenient at that point when all the debates are over to substitute them. At least then they'd have reason for ignoring the will of the people than the stupid superdelegate system.

1/32. but if she is, then it's not a claim. I hope she stays in the senate, irritating wall street. she can do more there than she can as vp.
as for the will of the people...the parties are private, they are not government entities. each states party decides how to do their primaries. tell me, what do you think of the gop gerrymandering after the 2010 census? or does that part of the election process not bother you?

And the Democrats haven't gerrymandered? Remember some of those crazy districts put together just to ensure minority majority within the district?

you do know who draws the states maps after a census? who drew them after 2010? it's why, altho the elections show a lot more votes for dems than reps, the reps hold both houses of congress.
I support what cali and ar have done, having non partisan boards draw the maps. gerrymandering is supposed to be banned, yet it still happens. one of the many things wrong with our political system.

Ideally even a non-partisan board wouldn't be necessary. Computers could draw districts depending on the population density, which is what is supposed to drive the districts in the first place within the state borders. The census data could be fed into an algorithm to adjust the district and show the before and after maps to make sure nothing crazy happened.

that would work too. anything that takes it out of the hands of a party, I'm all for it.
