Now, on to MY bonehead play of the weekend:
Opening night at Churchill I decided to join my degenerate friends over at the Turf Club. I played a $5 pick 3 starting in race 7. The ticket was 4 with 3 with 3,7 for a total of $10. The ticket hits for $560. I go in my pocket for the ticket. Gone. Looking everywhere for it. Gone. The janitor at the Turf Club swept my ticket up off of the table while I was on the other side of the room talking about the Kentucky Derby with my buddy Bob. I throw on a pair of plastic gloves and proceed to look in each trash can for my winning ticket. No luck. Management needs the machine number and an approximate time that I placed the wager. I provided them with it. They were able to freeze the ticket. Management told me that I will have to contact the Pennsylvania Gaming Commission and try to plead my case with them. He said I was most likely fighting a largely uphill battle. I have zero confidence in getting paid by the state.
Anyone ever have a similar issue? Ever? in PA perhaps?

I've had a similar issue twice at Gulfstream. Both times they froze ticket, confirmed my info, and gave me the cash. What I do now, is sometimes take a picture of my ticket on my iPhone. Especially if I hit a good starter horse to a sequence.
