i just saw about this. i am crushed. i got to meet Arch a few years back at Claiborne, and he was such a wonderful and sweet horse. the groom told us that the previous year, they'd gotten offers to buy him, and were considering it, but then he had some good horses win races and they opted to keep him.
i always followed his progeny. just a fave of mine.
i hate it. i know they're crushed, because they really enjoyed him.
