After viewing the scratches, it's pretty hard not to use a horse in the three-horse opener, so I'm going with

#2 Valentine Boy

Good luck!

Showvivor website still showing it as a six-horse field so perhaps even though anybody who uses race 1 just needs their horse to complete the course, other races/horses will be used and we can still make up a little ground.

I agree. And some may have picked early, before the scratches were announced.

I went with #5, El Nino Terrible.

LOL, even in a 3-horse race, neither of us picked the winner!

There were only 574 players that used the 1st race. More than that picked either Carlot Cowboy in the 2nd or Eddie Haskel in the 6th.

I know, I was pretty amazed when I looked at the popular picks page and saw that Carlot Cowboy was the most popular pick of the day, and that my pick, who was virtually assured of being successful, was only the 6th most popular pick of the day. You know I don't consider field size to be the most important consideration, but if they give you a chance where you are assured of being correct, you have to take it, yet many people missed with Eddie Haskell and to a lesser degree Guns Loaded.

There were 16 11/11 streaks when today started, I'd be curious to see how many (if any) were ended today when they didn't have to be.

Now there are just 12 with 12/12. I suspect a lot of people pick early, before scratches are listed. I often do that myself until I'm in a position where I think I have a real chance at a prize.

I may not pick a horse today. Gotta protect my 3/3, lol!

Race 4

#5 Blue Chat

Good luck!

Improved by over 300 spots yesterday, going from 986 to 683. Still have a lot of ground to make up but considering I was in 3200th place just a few days ago, I'm pretty pleased.

I'm sitting pretty in 1467th place. Maybe I should have picked today, to help my total wins (743rd) and total places (687th) rankings!

good luck with Blue Chat.
