![]() Firstly, I have strong opinions of #5 Cryptic Comet over #4 Lady Marlena in Race 2...
Race 7: #1 Talk Therapy: Thought the 9yo ran decently last time given the long layoff and sprint distance. Eligible to improve stretching out on a course he's done well going long on before. #2 Runaway Posse: Impressive as he could be on barn debut. Won just as easily sprinting for previous outfit but that didn't stretch to this distance. #11 Balderdash: With speed in here can revert to his prior style of making one run. #5 Status of Forces: Given a quizzical ride last out, has the best jock up since the shades have come on, and is worth including. #14 draws in but not sure if he'll be suited to the wide draw. Race 8: #1 Anchor Down #2 Schivarelli Anything else a surprise... Race 9: #3 Lakeside Sunset: Faded late going longer in a strong NY-bred N2X last out, and did the same earlier in the year on the dirt against Irish Jasper. Going 5.5f will suit and I don't think she needs the lead. #9 Lady Shipman: Star of this 3yo filly turf sprint division, but she might not be fast enough to lead and has to prove that either she is or can rate. #5 My Cara Mia: Two turf sprints on firm turf have been her best. #6 Super Saks: Does her best running when clear on the lead, which I don't think she'll get, but Lukas does well dirt to turf in non-MDN races. Also adding in #4 Ancient Goddess. Race 10: #3 Sugar Mags: Wanted to play this one on Opening Day but she didn't draw in. This is what I wrote: dam was a winner over this very turf course and has Cosmonaut on the top. Turf debut as a 2yo came without Lasix on a yielding course and was severely hindered by two poor starts to start her 3yo campaign. I thought she closed decently in the latter of the two with first time blinkers, especially given that the rails were way out. Routing should suit her better and if she draws in I expect a much better performance. #2 Taramislew: Ran twice over this course last year and I feel those races might be overlooked. Nothing wrong with her turf debut and she had an extremely wide drip from the 11-hole when back in less than three weeks. #10 Kitty Kat: Not enamoured by her route form but the blinkers might have tuned her up a bit. #8 Confessa: Wide trip behind a slow pace. Toscano done very well so far. $0.60 Late Pick Four Race 7: 1, 2, 5, 11 Race 8: 1, 2 Race 9: 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 Race 10: 2, 3, 8, 10 $96.00 Good luck! |

![]() I wouldn't be surprised if any horse won that 2nd race. 3/5 on underthemoonlight is crazy. I'm leaning towards 8 and 5. Good luck today

![]() Thanks Knicks, you as well. Nice to get a $22 winner early. Terranova now 6 for 8 dropping 2+ classes, one of which was super short on her drop (#2 from this race when running May 13th) and I'm not sure who the other loser was. He won with this angle a couple of times at this meet last year so I've been keeping an eye out for it.
