With due respect to the Philadelphians on the board, the PA Derby is an awful spot for him. The facility is nowhere near capable of handling the type of crowd he'd bring and Parx management should never be rewarded for their viewpoint of racing as a necessary evil.

This hoss has earned the trip to Saratoga. It wouldn't be right to skip the Travers . This guy has done the right thing so far . He should continue. That would mean AP at the spa . They would open the infield and would be the biggest event in years .

Mr Zayat . Do not deny this hoss a Saratoga win. Zenyatta didn't come because of ignorant owners . Please don't follow in their footsteps

No doubt the Coolmore deal has some influence on AP's schedule and I would love to see him run at the Spa, I dont think Bob wants to, but AP only ran a mile race on Sunday and he was not all out at the top of the stretch.
Bob said he was nervous at the Haskell....wait until the Travers, he will be sweating bullets....

i don't know that the travers will happen.
i'd imagine the pacific classic is one they will consider, and would be ap's last hurrah in cali. he's done the east coast thing.

As much as I hate to admit it, you're 100% right.

Last year, with California Chrome, the venue was (seemingly) at full capacity. I can't even imagine the type of crowd they'd get if the Champ rolls through town.

We can dream until our bubble bursts haha

The city doesn't deserve it for what they did to hitchBOT.

Thank you. At least someone cares about a true tragedy.

The Pacific Classic is now officially off the table. I would think that means The Travers is looking pretty good. Although Baffert said the horse was pretty wiped out when he got back to Del Mar yesterday. Hopefully he will be fully recovered in time to make The Travers.

I guess the Jersey traffic must have taken a lot out of him
