Is Patrick Husbands taking notes? Garcia comes again in the lane to nail Da Silva. Guess anyone but Husbands can get by Da Silva in the lane - except Husbands.

BEL R4

Appears that the 6 is the lone speed in this one. Still probably not up to it.

It is a good thing that they decided to load the 9 instead of scratching when the horse was clearly wild before going into the gate.

Cancelled this wager. 3-1 was a legit price on the horse, but not worth a bet at 5-2 for me (probably be 2-1 when the gates open).

Saez takes a race where he's got a distinct advantage and turns into one where he's trying to outkick accomplished closers. why? horse is trying to go and he's choking it out in 24.8+ opening quarter.

I am sure you appreciated the clown strangle job Saez did on the 6 there.

Abigail Adsit moving up a Joe Sharp horse? Geez.

The way it played out, the slowest horse early in the race ended up getting a perfect setup in a race that didn't come back. How do pace numbers capture this?

You are absolutely right, the race did get setup for the 1 in an absurd way. I don't know how pace figures can be accurately done when you have a field of jocks strangling their horses back and no one willing to run early, the riding in that race was particularly bad.

Not only Saez, but Jose Ortiz gave the 8 zero chance to win that race, he gets the horse mid-pack then shuffled back to last and blocked up the rail in the stretch.

You would think these guys would learn at some point particularly on what is supposed to be the best circuit out there, yet time and time again we see the same nonsense. Then we see it happening on other circuits at well. Mind boggling.
