I still haven't seen or heard anywhere where the PA State Racing Commission approved this. PARX has to go before them each year and request dates. They, like most tracks with casinos, usually ask for less and are often denied. Only safety and weather issues allow for cancellations and often they are required to reschedule.

I don't see this increasing the handle one cent. They still have one of the highest takeouts in the US and their purses are already high for the quality of racing. Bigger purses have only gone to attract NY trainers to ship in and create low-odds situations. The handle remains the same.

There is no place for race people at PARX. They were converted to casino long ago. I hate when people say how they are doing all these good things for you. Usually they are good for them. If you want to do something for me, reduce the takeout. Then maybe I'll place a bet there, which I haven't done in years.
