Default Bit

Saw a nice picture of Zenyatta's first foal to race working out. However it looked like it had maybe a brush bit on it. Maybe Chuck can enlighten.

It's a nice looking horse and well put together.

Yeah, around here we call that a brush bit. They have like some scrub brush bristles on the inside and when a horse tries to ride into it, it's uncomfortable. It doesn't hurt them or anything, just gives them an incentive to not bear out.

However it is usually only used on a horse with issues. Talent he may have, which can transcend issues. He looks like a nice horse. He's not 17 hands, plus I think he's well put together. I think he looks very athletic and I really like the nuts and bolts of him. Can he run ? Who knows, we'll soon find out. However I do kind of like the look of him. He has a nice head.
