Seems like a good opportunity for the Ferguson police to display what they're made of. If they're professionals, trained in actual law enforcement, they'll set aside her personal feelings about them and do their best to recover her stolen property. If they choose to treat her complaint based on her feelings about them, then they are absolutely demonstrating why the citizens they are allegedly hired to protect and serve don't trust them.

It's disgusting to me how some on the left tacitly excuse rioting as something that should be understood and accepted as free expression. Or do you honestly believe after all of this - that the Ferguson police are going to strong arm peaceful protesters in front of every singe video camera in Missouri?

We have an Attorney General who does the exact opposite of what a decent AG would do. He urges the police to show restraint. He should have done the exact opposite. He should have made it clear that anyone who engages in any type of violence or vandalism will be arrested immediately.

From the start, both Holder and Obama have given the protesters credibility and acted like they have a good case. They have no case. It was all based on false information. When you hear the true facts of the case it is clear that the officer did nothing wrong. The physical evidence backs up everything that he said. When you get attacked and punched by a 6"5, 280 pound guy and he tries to take your gun, what are you supposed to do?

This grand jury couldn't even find probable cause to put this guy on trial for anything. This wasn't a close call. But the protesters don't want to hear about what actually happened. They want to go with the made up story about the sweet little unarmed kid who was shot by the police for no reason.

protesting is legal. rioting, arson, etc, is not. nor should we have a mob mentality toward justice, with someone being charged just because some citizens are angry. is that what they think they want, a cop charged even tho the evidence doesn't indicate he did anything wrong? how would that fix anything?
departments that have cameras on police, as well as dashcams, have shown significantly lower claims of police wrongdoing. it can show that something was done wrong, but can also show someone yelling 'brutality' is full of it.

I think they and the District Attorney did everything they could to make the situation as bad as possible. Either that or they're just that inept. Either is possible.

And that prosecutor made it clear from the start he had no interest in bringing it to trial. The old saying goes that a District Attorney can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich if he wants them to. there are times when the police probably go too far, too fast. there are most likely times that they reach for a gun before the need to, or react overwhelmingly forcibly.
this isn't one of those times. there was no way, especially once all the evidence was collected, including gunpowder on the 'victim' which indicates extreme close range when shot, that this cop was ever going to be charged with anything.
there was a struggle for the gun, which put the cop in fear of his life.
