Tampa Reunion 2015

Here's my itinerary thus far that I'm most likely gonna pull the trigger on...

Arrive Tampa at noon Tuesday Feb 24th
Leave Tampa 10:30 Mon March 2

Round trip direct flights plus rental car is gonna run me $387

I figure most everyone will come in on Wednesday or Thursday.

In regards to the hotel, I need some opinions. There are a couple decent ones rignt down the road from the track. Holiday Inn express is $139/night. I don't know how you guys feel about 3 to a room, but if we did that, after taxes it would be $50-$55 a night. Those that would prefer just 2 to a room, by all means. Depending on how many make the trip, a 2nd rental would maybe be a smart idea.

from Chicago, i'm looking at Wed. arrival and Monday Departure.

I have an "in" possibly for hotels not too far from the track, it worked out well when we went in 2013, about 7 miles from the track.

3 to a room is fine with me, we did it last time with a roll out.

once i hear back from "in" i'll need a head count to see what we're working with numbers wise.

*suggestions, if we get a soccer mom van we might only need to rent 1 car? and put gpk in the back with the spare tire

Booked almost same times. Get in 10:15 Thursday and leave 9:45 Sunday.

my "in" has nothing but good news..... we can get max 4 rooms between 2 hotels in OLDSMAR, at AWESOME prices. BUT he says he's not sure how long the prices will last.

tentative head count on who NEEDS a room, and is fairly certain they will in the Box De Bigs come the last week in February?????

I'm 6 one, half dozen the other when it comes to golf this year. I can be talked into it or out of it. Trying to arrange all that sh*t last time was the equivilant of herding cats, and God knows my history when it comes to herdimg p*ssy.

We need to get a pool started on what the first race of that day will be. They love to start with those dated nickels, but im gonna call it a maiden 8 going 5.5

If recency is any indication, Mid week + February we'll see a 5KN1Y, an open 6250, or an 8K N3L. they save the maiden 8's for the last leg of each of the P4's and the second half of the early DD

Mine was updated too, for Tuesday. That just insures I will get to The Silks card room in time for noon buy in tourney and some Monticello simulcast

Good deal. You, 3kings and I arrive within an hr of each other. I will secure the rental car and the three of us can pool together. If anyone else is schd to arrive around the same time they can pile in as well

Not recommending, just saying, it's about a 6 hour drive from Cary to Jacksonville, then another 3 from here to Tampa. Give or take....
