I don't know the entire specifics but I have a pretty good idea. Rick likes to use Prado(calls in NY), Johnny V(riding Flower Alley), bejarano(calls in Ky), Gomez(call on Motts horse), and thats pretty much it. Once none of those guys could shake loose you are in a jam. Riders take calls for one million dollar races real EARLY!!! WIthout a jock he liked I guess tehy just decided to use the guy who rode him last time. he can kiss that mount goodbye now.

I haven't seen the race yet but if he opened up 16 lengths and went 108, he needs to get his balls cut off......Looking forward to seeing some of these horses in the Secretariat

Tom when you see the replay you won't believe it. It takes a lot to stun me and make me speechless. A LOT!!! I've seen em all. But when you watch what this horse did it will boggle your mind. Who knows how good Kip is? Tell you what, after watching that race the first thing that went through my mind was Breeders Cup mile winner. You ain't seen anything like this in your whole life.

Couldn't there have been even the slightest effort to coddle his speed? He would have had a real chance to take it.

What could this guy do in a one mile turf event?

It was certainly something you don't see every day.

Chance? CHANCE???!!!! Jim, you and i both know if anyone with a brain is on that horse he wins by 5 at least. When he dug in for 2nd I was convinced I was seeing one of the biggest blooming turf stars that we have seen in years. I still cant believe what that horse did. Lets face it, the winner was given a trip that you dream about. Saved all ground with no trouble behind a leader who was 17 lengths in front in 1:08:4 for a race that far on a turf course that isnt known for producing times like that. Mind boggling that he could dig in and hold the place.

BC Mile--NO WAY. This horse has no shot in the mile. Heck Gorella would crush this horse in a mile on turf. The horse ran a good race but I want to see some more efforts before I decide how good he was on turf.
