I would have gotten it from the Saratoga win in his mdn, but you knew that

The horse that beat Unbridled's Song in his Fountain of Youth win was probably the greatest upset I've ever seen in a Derby prep ... and that includes the hopeless Rockamundo's Arkansas Derby win and the laughable Wild Syn's easy bias aided Blue Grass win - a race in which 4th place finisher Thunder Gulch and 3rd place finisher Tejano Run ran 1-2 in the Ky Derby next out.

Wild Syn basically reverted back to being a claimer - but he still was no doubt better than the horrible Built For Pleasure.

its too bad he had to be owned by Paragallo. He would have had a better chance of having a great career had he had an owner that wouldnt have run him with quarter cracks.. he raced in the Wood and Derby with cracks.. Paragallo did not deserve any of the money he made off UBS's stud career.

I have to agree with this assessment, but Durkin's call of that stretch run was great.

I was a fan of his dam, Littlebitapleasure, who was a regular in stakes on the Louisiana-Arkansas circuit for John Franks. She also produced Littlebitlively.
