No it is unions screwing the citizens as usual. When people are making as much in OT as they are in salary question need to be asked. People making 90-100k a year doing something that requires no skills and is performed just as well by a machine....yeah I think that $26 dollar round trip over that bridge is worth it as long as the toll takers are being taken care of.

Well, too bad the "citizen" such as you was legally represented by "a union", in the form of the AAA, who is the one that sued the Port Authority - on driver's behalf - to question the purpose for the raise in tolls last year. Screw those unions and class actions! Oh, wait ....

So your toll increases are on hold, and nothing has been said publicly about what the money is being used for, since the PA denied that tolls would go to Ground Zero renovation (the reason they were to be raised and given in the first place).

So ... what are we bashing again? Oh, yeah! One guy who made over $100,000 K by working 60 hours a week! Oh, the horror! And it's all due to UNIONS!

The tolls have been raised. AAA is a union now?

The real question is if relatively worthless toll takers are making money far beyond what their job description entails than what other financial abnormalaties exist in the Port Authority.

Only the truly biased believe that toll takers and gardners making 80k a year is cool when the city is cutting services and the damn roads are falling apart.

You pay AAA membership dues? Or are you freeloading off the coattails of the lawsuit they filed on behalf of all citizens?

Ooooooh. So it has nothing to do with EVIL UNIONS! , and you have switched to just accusing them of graft?

Only the truly crazy - or intensely gullible - are blaming toll takers and gardeners for the city not having enough money to pay their bills.

So any organization that you pay dues to is now a union? Are the Cub Scouts a union as well?

Only a person with limited intellegence would believe that toll takers and gardners are the only vastly overpaid workers in the NYC system (virtually all union workers). Just the latest tip of a sinking iceberg.

Like I said do a quick review of the NYC OTB situation to see what happens when union and politicians get together with no oversight.

If a union worker or Obama was the one turning the volume button up then Riot would be against it. Maybe toll takers can do this job too while they soak up all that overtime working those killer hours.

And I was being sincere. I swear they make the late night commercials even louder than the daytime ones.

You mean "for it". Duh.

And the best part is: if only Obama had anything whatsoever to do with this, other than simply signing a law that was sent to him.

No duh you would be against the act if it meant harm to your 2 chief crushes, Obama or public service union members.

And Obama's signing of the act into law is a pretty important step no?
I mean he gets all this credit for Obamacare when Pelosi and Insurance companies wrote that law too.

At least the commercial act wont cost us so much money

It's kinda sad, the way you always have to fall back on ad hominem insults.

Yes. It makes what has existed as policy for some time now, a law. I'll look forward to your constant praise of Obama, as you watch TV and newly-muted commercials don't interrupt your phone calls

Of course, according to others here, Obama's signing the law is just proof of his incompetence, that he's not paying attention to "real" problems.

You mistakenly corrected me and is having a crush on Obama and union members an insult? It isnt nearly as good as witch boy. I may name a horse witch boy.

And I praise Obama on the few chances that he does something worthwhile which wouldnt be classified as constant

Yes, you are praising Obama for something he had nothing to do with. Other than signing it.

But I guess the effort is appreciated
