I'd imagine Rail Trip will be about as interesting on dirt as, say, Go Between, for instance.

Go Between's dam was a European turf horse and Point Given was actually a better sire with syn/turfers than dirt horses it seemed.

Rail Trip has a much more speed and precocious dirt pedigree - and his speed will be more of a weapon dirt than it was on synthetic. I think he'll run well. The chemicals in the Dutrow barn won't hurt either.

With a different post in the Derby, he might have waltzed to a pretty easy TC given the lack of top-quality in the division and the absolute trash that was waiting to face him in the Belmont.
I was thinking the same thing, but he didnt win the Derby.

Where has Quality Road been. One would think that the best older horse in the country would come out and play!

He will be playing, twice in the next 5 weeks. 2 G1's worth a total of 1.25 million, at the best meet in America.
