While I have posted about this subject before, Dan Silver and his NYRA video team predecessors (including incumbent Jon Imbriale) have tossed the video distribution question around like a hot-potato not realizing that all of their internal work at NYRA goes for nothing over their own network as delivered by Cablevision. Technically, the answer is that Cablevision does not outfit Channel 74 with HD capable transmission technology. As a result, you wind up with a blurry, poorly interlaced edition of the clear track feed.

The result? The HD Digital feed is actually converted BACK TO pre-HD standards for distribution over Cablevision.

Why the NYRA video team does not want to "own" the end quality of their video product as get the broadcast issue sorted with Cablevision, even at their own expense, still puzzles me.
I have TVG on Directv and the video is horrible.
