What's truly puzzling is how you don't understand why it took NYRA this long to install Trakus. It isn't free, and it wasn't until fairly recently that NYRA had the money to install Trakus. This isn't exactly fresh information, unless someone only wants to believe what is convenient for their opinions.

Regardless, I agree that Trakus provides a lot of information, and hopefully we at NYRA can help disseminate this information to our customers. It is certainly our intention to do so. Hopefully people that care about Trakus will give us some time to figure out how to best do this. We always try as hard as we can to give our customers the best handicapping information we can provide. Hopefully we can further this with Trakus.
Claiming that:

1) NYRA's entry was 'belated'
2) the TRAKUS data as presented on the NYRA site (all other TRAKUS track sites) and the TRAKUS site is not easily accessible

is being 'defensive'?

No doubt the technology is significantly better than its dated predecessor. But why not make it available in other than cut and paste or web crawl format? I'd love to incorporate it into my handicapping but I don't have the time to:

1) cut and paste and then have to do a ton of formatting
2) write (or setup) a web crawler

I mean, it's laughable that this data isn't in HTML format, for example. It's f u c k i n data -- either offer it for free or sell it. Why the EQUIBASElike presentation? Oh, and I realize that this is not NYRA's doing but the standard from TRAKUS. Makes one wonder, doesn't it?

Here's a chance for NYRA to step beyond the norm.
