Yeah, she's terrific.
I'm not much of a sentimentalist but I clapped for her Saturday. We need more like her. |

They don't make 'em like her anymore. Pretty much the definition of class.

Joey...she is one of those that you never hear anything negative about. Done everything that was ever asked of her. You don't have to love her, but for anyone that can't appreciate what she has accomplished...they have ZERO clue about horse racing and have no right to call themselves a fan of the sport. |

It's pretty amazing when you think about it. She was pretty much retired midway through 2005. She came back and beat a garbage field. Many people, myself included, wrote her off in the 2005 BC. She ran a very terrific second. Then she comes back this year ( and even later last year ) with a vengance and has a GREAT season, with her only subpar finish being completely due to a poor trip/ride, and then dominates the BC again.
She's more than a throwback and, as Watchmaker said in his column in tomorrow's DRF, the kind of horse for which the Hall of Fame was created. |

I looked at a friend sitting next to me on Saturday and asked him how anyone on the world could bet any other horse but her in the F&M Turf. 6/5 was a gift as I thought she towered over that field by a mile. |
