I guess you don't fly, or ever enter a courthouse? You've never heard of someone walking through a scanner, having it go off, then walking back through again and not having it alarm? Or having it alarm to nothing visible? Or titanium in an implant? Or a hearing aid? Or change in a pocket? Which is why they have patdowns?
Yea gods! You're right! It's a massive conspiracy theory! It couldn't possibly be the sensitivity set of the scanners, or the known things that can false alarm them! The scanners are all fake, and operated by random buttons activated by agents! That's much more logical!
