In both Tuscaloosa and Joplin, the Director and Deputy Director of FEMA were both there within 24 hours (I think it was 12).

Both areas were declared disaster areas by the President at FEMA's request before they even left Washington for the site (as opposed to previously, when FEMA heads waited to get on-site before requesting the declaration).

The MO senators and congressmen toured Joplin yesterday. The Democrats flew in helicopters, the Republicans went on the ground. This is:
A: Too early in the process, they got in the way!
B: Too late in the process, they ignored the citizens!
C: It doesn't matter, they are not the President!
