If he were straight, would he have killed himself because of it? Doubtful.....Again, no one wins here. It is a lesson.

Probably not, but it doesn't make what they did any less wrong.

Is this now a potential involuntary manslaughter case?

Also agree.

It's very sad and a very extreme case. But would you want to be charged with a crime for something you said to another poster?

Of course no one would want to however if a poster bullied some kid to a point they commited suicide I say the poster should be liable for their actions. I think the same thing goes here.

The question that comes to mind is, "Why couldn't they just leave that kid alone?"

This is just so sad.

thats a little different than illegally broadcasting someone having sex (especially a young man with another man... that is a tough age for gay men)

He reached out to a site after this happened. Didn't help fast enough. Hopefully gay kids will realize there are people to discuss this with.

Honest question Lori... when did you know your "preference"? How did you handle it through that late teens early 20's? I'm sure it's a very age tough for gay girls, too. It's a tough age for ALL kids, even if they're an All-American Harvard freshman from a millionaire family.
