The GOP were the ones that prevented the bill from moving to the Senate floor for a vote, right? 56 Senators in favor of voting on this bill, and the GOP blocked that vote. The GOP will be in the political wilderness for at least a decade, and the tea party in it's various forms as funded by the Koch brothers and Dick Armey won't change much.
