I never claimed that everybody on the list owed their billions to inheritance. Obviously many of them do not. It isn't as if George Lucas inherited his Star Wars money.

Rockefeller is probably worth more than everyone else on that list combined.

Think about that family and their history, and ALL of their holdings. They practically control banking, oil and a big chunk of pharma.

Exactly. Some of the richest people stomped on lots of human beings to get their. Collusion etc....now they probably have pangs of remorse. Doesn't change how they got their(for some)....Anyway, you can't take it with you. Money is overrated.

and they were taxed out of their money like the Walton family in a generation or 2. Hard to pay 50% per year to the IRS and stay.

Since the IRS is actually not part of the US govt and is in fact a privately held corporation that's pretty amusing.

Especially since the Rockefellers own big stakes in the banks that own the IRS.
