I grew up watching horse racing during the 1970's as a teenager - -
I think Honest Pleasure & Bold Forbes should definitely be on you list I'd include Key to the Mint, Little Current John Henry started winning in the 1970's - I swear I was at Aqueduct with my Dad the day (May 1978) he ran in a claiming race (I wish I could find the program) - I think R. Donato was the trainer. My favorite horse of the 1970's was Wajima (relished the mud) Seattle Slew did everything easily - Spectacular Bid was a monster - - Everytime Forego ran was a big event !!!! |
