hats off to the guys who made a score
Call me crazy, but how is this a put-over? Wouldn't some people have to know about it, inducing odds a bit lower than expected for a horse with such works?

The breeding, while not well known, isn't atrocious. The sire was a multiple graded stakes winner, set a new track record in a G3 (Longacres Mile at EMD in 1998), and hits with about 9% of first time starters. He is a half to three winners and the dam herself won in her first season.

The connections aren't known - but would you expect an owner/trainer/breeder to be regularly stabled at CD? Certainly not.

Surprising? Yes. A put-over? I don't think it qualifies as such. Didn't bet it and wasn't going to - but I just don't think anything crazy was going on here.
