I moved and don't have a clear view of the southern sky anymore. Thusly, no more TVG. At least there's always Rosecroft.

I've been hounding Brighthouse for a year now. They are great for everything else. But absolutely NO horse racing. It may be time to switch to the dish.
I know Verizon fiber optic carries both TVG and RHTV but it's not available in my area yet.

i actually got ridda the dish a few months back and switched to comcast since they hada deal of 99.99 per month for the cable, cable internet and unlimited long distance phone service, that and the fact i was tired of my dish going out every single time the weather got a little bad. i had tvg and hrtv on the dish and now only have tvg and had to pay a little extra for it, hrtv isnt offered by comcast but fukk dat channel and fukk stronach anyways

Been with DirecTV for over 10 years and don't plan to switch unless they lose the NFL package. What TVG doesn't cover, I can watch on the internet. |

I couldnt do without TVG.
HRTV is important during the Spring SA and Gulfstream meets. I have DISH network b/c the cable companies around here dont carry TVG. Id have DISH anyway though. just a much better product. Repent |

I have a question for Repent and Scuds since you both have Dish Networks. It sounds like you guys are very happy with Dish. Are there any negatives?
One of my friends had Direct TV, and some days he would have problems getting good reception for TVG if it was windy outside. Does anything like that happen with Dish? Does it not work well if the weather is bad or anything like that? |

yeah the weather thing is what the cable companies always uses to bash dish. but Im telling you man, i had directv my first 2 years of college and dish network ever since then (toal of like 7 years now) and I can count on one hand the number of times I lost reception b/c of storms. the wind never knocks out the signal. it takes a hell of a storm to knock out the signal, but even then it ususally is back up within 10 minutes. its only happened a few times. Dish is awesome. I have 2 dual recievers which basically means I control 4 different tvs with just 2 recievers and both are dvr recievers. I have one of the more basic packages, but it still gives you all the espns, all the local channels, all the major entertainment channels, all the educational/documentary channels, and most importantly TVG and HRTV. My bill is only like $60/month. its a great value and if I were home more, i would upgrade packages and it still would be relatively inexpensive. Repent |
