![]() I just joined last week, somehow I stumbled on to the site. I enjoy seeing other picks and opinions, as one helped me cash a P4 Saturday when I dismissed a horse.
Anyway, my question is how long do you spend handicapping a card, or a race, or a P4 or P6 or however you do it. I pretty much only play NY tracks or major races and I generally play only the weekends and then only either the early or late P4 on a card. Probably average 30 minutes per race, some longer some shorter. It obviously depends quantity and quality of the runners. I prefer getting most of it done the night before and updating the scratches the morning of. I also do maybe 5 minutes of post race analysis on my handicapping to see how I did and how I can improve next time. I know there is no right or wrong answer, but I was just curious how long others take and if you handicap full cards, certain races, bets, etc.? Big fan of the site so far.
