Tell me, what was the purpose of the NDAA if the Patriot Act purportedly allows the Gov't to enter your home and remove whom ever they want, hold them indefinitely, without any form of due process? Oh....That's right, it doesn't. I guess you've got the reading comprehension skills of a typical Obama-ite as well. Obama, running a campaign for president, promised to revisit and repeal the most civil-liberty intrusive portions of the Patriot Act. He not only broke that promise, but signed a 4 year renewal that reinforced every key element of it. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-me...ersight-on-go/ And for good measure, now signed a bill into law that dismisses the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th amendments to the Constitution. Might be a good idea to understand what you're quoting before you blindly support a position - but then again, it's hard to expect that much from folks that would rather blame others for the actions of their incumbent. Cliff Notes version for the tl;dr crowd - the Patriot Act authorizes the surveillance of suspected enemy combatants on US soil; the NDAA wipes it's ass with the constitution, and flushes it to Cuba. And G. Bush had nothing to do with it - this is all on Obama. Pretty amazing that anyone could blame this on G. Bush |
