A horse like Spectacular Bid can go 24-for-24 between the distances of 7 furlongs to 10 furlongs - win 23 of those 24 races by a 1.5 lengths or more - win 14 of them by 5 lengths or more .. win 14 total Grade 1's and run the fastest Ragozin sheet figure of all-time and hold it for almost 20 years - be a champion at ages 2, 3, and 4 ... and he sucked horribly as a sire.
Yet a lot of these talented sprinters and fragile figure horses who accomplish little make excellent stallions.
