Why do they maintain "official injury reports"? Why did they stagger the late game starts on Sundays? Why do they do play games on thursday nights?
Football became popular via gambling, not housewives or NFL cares promotions. Same reason college football is now so popular, not because all of a sudden Boise State became such a compelling story.
