It's a cultural thing. He sees Texiera get all that guaranteed money for being nowhere near as good a player. Manny is a freak that sees the ball better than anyone ever has. I don't expect that to go away as soon as others do. I can see why he thinks he deserves 4 years/100 mil. The problem is 1) He quit on a contract, and 2) He boasted publicly about his worth at the end of the season. Those 2 are issues in this culture. Both are signs of a lack of respect for authority. I just don't think people want to give someone 100 million dollars, and then have to put up with attitude. Fact of the matter is that this club is the best fit for him.
