I just don't think people want to give someone 100 million dollars, and then have to put up with attitude.

Well let's look at the players who would/could afford 100 million.
1-Yankees: now matter what anyone says they are never out of anything. Would anyone be suprised if he ended up in the bronx? No way, but with all the money they spent, he's not a necessity.
2-Red Sox: Just aint happening
3-Mets: It seems to be the perfect fit. Are they balking becuase they really don't want him or is it the price? Maybe they are trying to get him at the bargain basement price. I still think he ends up in Queens.
4- Dodgers: He basically put the team on his back and took them to the playoffs. But I guess there's no huge market for him, so why should bid against themselves and give him a huge contract. Plus aren't they still paying off Andruw Jones (sorry to bring that up SCUDS).
5- Angels:The way Moreno seems to operate is if he really wanted Manny, he would of had him already. I don't think they were really ever in the running.
6- Texas?: They learned the hard way with A-Rod.
Really with the Yanks, Red Sox and supposedly the Mets out of it. Where's he going to get that kind of dough?
