No,this is simply a huge shovel of poo. Some guys crowd the plate, and yes they can get hit on the upper wrist by a pitch inside. This happened a couple weeks ago to Payton when he got hit by an inside pitch from Shields.Part of the reason Payton couldn't get his hands out of the way is because he was fooled, and swung at the pitch.Hard to get out of the way while swinging at the pitch. Now,as far as Showalter's 2 guys that threw at VLade on Tuesday night goes,he was well off the plate, but still got hit hard by a fastball thrown right at his upper wrist by Padilla.Padilla also threw at Vlade's head.Littleton threw very hard at Vlade's head.Just way too close to call IT SIMPLY "throwing inside." What about when Guerrero hit the 3 run homer, and Padilla got upset about it,and threw one right on Rivera's a$$?? Padilla just pitching inside? THAT'S ALL YOU CALL THAT BUCK? F'N PIG LIAR. I really don't know how these fkrs didn't break a bone in Vlades upper wrist/lower forearm.Hit him flush as can be on a bone. That's what is really pathetic.Fans pay all this money out to see top talent, and this guy is lucky to not be out for the year with a broken bone.

Showalter is plainly a P.O.S. I understand throwing inside is part of the game and even occasionally hitting a batter too, but like you said Scuds...not at a guys head for God's sake....that is absolute bullsh*t to the nth degree, but honestly...coming from Showalter, I expect nothing that resembles class.
