![]() would be tricky maintaining a turf course, wrong time of year for it in this area--huge expense installing and then maintaining as well.

![]() Also with it being in the middle of town with Central Ave. to it's west there is no room to put one. Also grass has a hard time growing in Arkansas between Dec. and March during which the meet is being run. Oaklawn and Hot Springs make a great combo. Great night life and even better places to eat. Bath House Row is a wonderfull place to go for a walk during the night after the races. I'll be heading home in March to see them run. We stay out on Hwy 7 at the Baymont over loking the lake. BTW is Cole Norman still in jail?

![]() Not only should any race fan make an earnest effort to visit Oaklawn, going downtown to Bathhouse Row and enjoying a Hot Springs National Park spa visit is unmatched. The hospitality in the boyhood home of Bill Clinton is superior. But I'm not really very objective.
