Just spoke to a trainer. It is still on the turf but while they are saying it is firm, he said it is very soft. There may be a few more scratches if they make a later decision to come off the turf.

Going to drop Raw Silk in favor of Ambidaxtrous in the Sands Point

Ambidax lives for soft footing.. softer the better.. Tom Gallo of Parting Glass said yesterday a big element of entering here was anticipation of less than firm going...

Couple of added scratches now in late races, and turf dropped to "GOOD"..

The main players have run well on off going too.

Grade II is a long way from a Statey N1X.

I thought the same thing but, as a yearling here, I tend to walk softly. Especially with the main dude here. Anyway, looks like it is time to bet the pick 6.

Really like the 7 here but the odds are a little lower than I had hoped for.

Awesome! Maragh blows. The 5 was a auto-toss in my handicapping book (that apparently needs revision).

Ahhh I had the 5 and 6 and debated about phobia but decided to go with Pano's love instead. But I always liked Prime Obsession. Now lets see if Southern Prince can do the job. I singled him.

Good work with Prime Ob Handi.. Wasted the entire play/race overly concerned with the Linda Rice firster..

How about that clever effort by Coa on Pano's Love, eh? Wow..

Thanks. I was really suprised that he never got into the mix. He appeared to like the soft going 2 back. The firster concerned me as he only had three works going in and there was a gap in his work tab from March 22 to May 5th. At least I am still in it. I hate getting knocked off in the first leg after all this work.

Well there I go. Of course it has to be Kenny on Redefined who is never out there, at least recently, who has to get into a speed duel with Southern Prince. Oh well. Cannonball worried me but, apparently not enough.

Nice ride by Johnny V. Maybe he is getting back to the way he was before his injury.

On to Hollywood.
It was my axe to grind, Desormeaux, on redefined that got into the speed duel. But that is the way Kenny D. rides.

Yes I think he is more confident now. Hard to be confident when you are falling all over the place at the gate like he did several times last year at Saratoga. Good, Classy Jock.

You are correct. I was watching on my computer (tv has been taken over by the kids) and missed that one bad.
