![]() Thoughts on this particular Johannesburg colt? I really like the way this one moves... I'm hoping he matures a bit and is a major contender for next year.

![]() ![]() I was thinking more in terms of next year... I think he's got a great stride on him and he seems to be a larger colt, so maybe he'll mature a bit by next spring.

![]() He is a VERY nice horse. He will be a serious 3 year old. I tried to buy him unraced for 65 thousand. I was sold from the first time I saw him work, he just floats over the surface. I watched him roll 59 flat one day at CHD in the morning, this was prior to him ever running. Our conversation after Jamie got off the horse was as follows. "What did you get him at, Ryan, 101 flat? I said "no Jamie, I had him at 59" That particular day I knew he was the real deal, besides the great looks his conformation is great, as is his personality. The amazing thing about him is he was so cheap at auction, that was the main reason I couldnt get my guy off the money. Horses like Teuflesburg, at the price they paid at auction dont come along very often. No horse running in the Juvenile has anything on him, I promise you. He may not win, I dont know how far he can run, However, as far as raw talent goes hes got as much or more than anything in the field.

![]() Hes a really really nice horse. His PP's dont do him justice. If you could stand in front of him or get in the stall with him you would know youre in the company of a real racehorse. When he doesnt go to the track he gets nervous, stall walks, and just really slums around. He is one of those horses who just loves going to the track, he knows hes a stud.
I know Jamie wanted to just kick him out for the winter and bring him back for a serious 3 year old campaign. He just wants to track every day, never holds any heat anywhere, always comes back better than he goes out. He will be an impact 3 year old. |

![]() Eight races before a maiden win does not say a lot. He was thrown to the wolves early and the added distance could be just what he needs.
