![]() that is a puzzling bit of news in that article. i thought MGM was a part of the NYRA bid entity. not a separate bidder unto themselves.

![]() MGM Grand and Wynd didnt want it. Why would they. They have better opportunities out there. Plus it is going to be too regulated by the state.

![]() This ad hoc committee to determine the bids for the right to conduct racing does not have the final say. Nothing will happen until the new year when a new governor and legislature are in place. If NYRA is denied the franchise the courts will ultimately determine if they own the tracks.
