Default If Calder had Santa Anita's track surface....

...what percentage of its race days would be canceled annually?

I am guessing around 40-60%.

It would be dark most days from late May until mid-October.

What a complete joke, people.

PS:

I love the way the TVG boot-licking apologists act like every rain cloud that crosses Southern California is just cause for ark building. Why can't they just come out and say "We've got a joke of a track here"?

Oh...never mind.

The real joke is that one of the most important racing establishments in the world has a drainage system which is incapable of doing its job? Imagine if the air conditioning didnt work in a slot parlor? It would be fixed regardless of cost immediately..

To be fair, a foot of snow or more will close any racetrack, regardless of surface.
