Default Hurry...The Sky is falling!!

http://www.courier-journal.com/artic...fate+continues

This has to be the most desperate cry I have heard yet.
Not to mention the biggest pile of Horse$h!+ to spew from a Senators mouth.

Forgive me if this was posted over the holiday weekend.

The Preakness is far from the derby in prestige. The derby is a Stallion maker.

Yeah, but that was the Preakness. You win the Derby, the nonracing media is interested in you. You win the Preakness, the nonracing media could care less about you - unless you happen to be shooting for a Triple Crown. If the purse money is what really matters concerning the Derby, then Churchill would not have been able to put off raising the Derby purse to over $1 million until 1996.

I doubt that Diaz would have skipped the Derby with Spend a Buck if that crook Robert Brennan had moved the Jersey Derby to the first Saturday in May and offered the bonus to the owner of any horse that won the Cherry Hill Mile, Garden State Stakes, Jersey Derby, and Preakness.

The KY Derby is the Holy Grail..It in many ways is what the sport revolves around. certainly what drives the select sales.
