Very sad. TVG is reporting that Shakis broke down in a workout and had to be put down.

God damnit this sucks. I just got home, checked email, got a workout for him.
I've been a fan of his since he was with Doug Watson in Dubai... when he ran in the Duty Free back in 2005. The next spring he finally got a win... the Maserati Trophy. Beat a nice field. Was thrilled when he came stateside. Just very, very sad news. I'll miss him. Good night, good boy. A ******* shmae.
