At least you didn't have to watch the plug knock you out of a $5 pick 4 by appearing out of the fog.

Yeah, it's shocking that a confirmed closer with a record of 4-3-1-0 around one turn was able to come from behind against a field loaded with speed.

Loaded with speed my foot. It was J Be K and Desert Key. The scratch of Nautical Storm made everyone think they had a chance to steal it, hence the speed duel, hence the only way that rat could ever win a Grade 1.

I was live in pick threes to the 1 and 8 with Mambo in the Travers and in doubles to the 2 and 10 with the Colonel and Mambo in the Travers. Of course I ran second, third, fourth and fifth behind that rat in the King's Bishop and my two horses run 1-2 in the Travers.

I knew you'd show up. I'd prefer you to Dew though.. At least you make me laugh.

Seriously, I would've had a very good day had he not won, so if I sound bitter, I am.

I thought this was an outstanding day of racing and a very challenging pick 4, I think you had to go 3 or 4 deep early on to get atleast to the Travers. When you look at the results, a logical case could be made for all of these horses. Whoever cashed today my hats off to them.

I am just messing around man. I have been married to this horse since he won down here in Fla.

I made money on the day...but nothing gigantic. If Shepard's horse won the 8then I woulda hit the late pick 4...did not like the winner of the 8th. Visionaire at 6-1 was honestly not a great price. He got an IDEAL set up today. Won easily....but race was handed to him.

I hate this horse too. Can't believe he won a G1. If Court Vision had gone on to win the Travers I would have given up following horse racing for good. Pyro should have been in this race. And what the hell does Mott have Majestic Warrior sitting in the barn for? Even he might have had a shot with that setup.

Want some whine with that cheese?

Chrsit...it's not like this horse was 50-1......considering the pace scenario he made a lot of sense today.

To me, it's the jock who is smart enough to ride like a parasite. In order to do that, it takes a horse with odds long enough that it's o.k. to fail. Then, you can put all your eggs in one basket. This jock understands this notion of all your eggs in one basket. It's one of the few advantages you have when you aren't on one of the top bet horses. Reminds me of some of the rides Delahoussaye used to give. THE BELMONT AND THE KING'S BISHOP = 2 PARASITIC GRADE 1 WINS(easy front, and sucked up from the back by huge sprint pace.) I think Lantana Mob is better, but may have been just a bit too close. That's what I mean. More was expected of him, and so maybe the jock didn't feel comfortable laying him too far back(like Visionaire.) Got bumped around top stretch, too. Seemed better when Asmussen had him(LOL.)

Good looking ride on Golden Spikes, a horse who clearly runs his best races while stalking.

I am a little bit confused here, i get most of what you are saying, except for PPl expecting more from Lantana Mob, I dont like Visionaire at all, but i feel he is a lot better horse then Lantana Mob, I dont think it's fair to compare them. If it was not for Lantana Mobs other part of the entry he would have been 10 or 15-1, Visionaire was well bet, took some serious money and ran like it.
