As a Marylander, I hate reporting this:

"The connections of Maryland-based Xchanger continue to point the Federico Tesio Stakes winner toward Saturday’s Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I).

On Monday, April 30, co-owner Dominic Zannini told the Churchill Downs Kentucky Derby notes team that the Exchange Rate colt would likely be sent to the Louisville track with designs on running in the Derby.

“Nothing's 100%, and I am not committing to anyone but I like the way things are shaping up,” Zannini said. “We are preparing for it like we’re coming. The best case scenario is we’ll be there.”
