![]() This colt looks excellent training over the cushion track at Hollywood Park. He's got higher knee action...
I won't be tossing him as I originally planned to.

![]() I'm pretty sure he will be disgusted and be dull if the pace is moderate. On the other hand, if they give him a sharp pace,he will look totally different out there(his stride will look great, and he will be ready to make a run towards the front.) When they go into the turn,if he is within 5 lengths of the lead, then he usually won't run well(the reason he ran reasonably well last time was the pace was decent, not hot,but decent..he wanted it hotter..Nakatani didn't oblige him.).If he is 7 or 8 lengths out of the lead, then the pace is probably pretty good ,and he has a chance to make the board. If he is like 10-15 lengths back, and they are running a 22'3 or something, then G haterz beware.

![]() No thanks. I was checking his Beyers (cause Rags and **** are too expensive) and it looks like he's due for a regression off his last.

![]() No regression with him, I haven't been his biggest fan, but there's no reason he can't be 2 if it's white hot, 3rd mildly hot, or 4th off of an avg pace...I see a very hot pace and think he could run 2nd, he likes the track and distance...

![]() If the Bengals lose Sunday, that pretty much means Baltimore wins the Division...
Merrill Hoge lives around here and does a weekly radio program, he said the Steelers are still going to win the Division.... |

![]() P DRIFT is the more consistent price horse for the exotics.I don't think he needs the hot pace, and he has been top 3 in every race he has had here.9 starts..1 win..3 seconds, and 5 third place finishes.

![]() Look guys...
I'm well aware that Giacomo is slow, yada yada yada... but IMO, this horse has looked amazing working and I'm impressed. It'd be another upset if he won, but I just can't leave him off of my tickets.

![]() If Giacomo wins I may quit the racing game, permanently. I almost did when he won the Derby and he upset my Closing Argument/Afleet Alex exacta box.
I was cursing up and down that afternoon...I can only imagine if he wins the Classic. Girlfriend will likely send me out for a few days. ![]()

![]() I've said it before and I'll say it again - Giacomo is a good one-paced horse who depends on keeping on past tired horses. The only way he beats first class horses is if they go bonkers on the front end and kill each other off, ala the Kentucky Derby of 2005. The Pacific Classic last year would have been perfect for him, but he wasn't there and Borrego fulfilled the role of 'closer' taking advantage of an insane pace.

![]() Giacomo is a plodder not a closer. I respect him as a past Derby winner and give him no chance in the Classic.
