Even when it comes to people that make very little money and don't need deductions, it is the conservative christians that give the most.
If you've got two guys that each make $25,000 a year and one is a conservative christian and the other is a liberal, I make the conservative christain a 3-5 favorite to give more money to charity than the liberal. All the data shows that the conservative christians are the most generous when it comes to giving, regardless of income bracket.
Do you know who the least generous group is? The data shows that secular conservatives are the least generous group. And when you think about it, that makes sense.
