i don't think the story totally changed.

what i read is they intend to keep the current surface but have decided to replace the asphalt layer below that wasn't draining properly.

it'll be the same surface with a different base.

what i wonder about is if the problem with drainage was the asphalt, how did the pro-ride compound they added resolve anything?

I dont know for sure but I would guess that the drain has been clogged by the material that Cushion track had put down , a very fine sand that has prevented the system for working properly.

this is exactly why I don't like using porous asphalt, its difficult to install and if not done right, or a few glitches here are there it does not drain.
