What about the other 10% :confused: any chance the original partnership gets a piece of the foal or was that partnership (DT#1) dissolved when she retired?

Yes, what is the deal? Is there a contract in this 90/10 split? Who's paying the expenses for the mare and the foal? What if (God forbid) the foal doesn't make it and it's another year of expenses before foal number 2?

yep-that's what it's called when you remove one of the embryos. twins are very, very rare in horses-and most of the time neither twin survives. best to remove one now, rather than chance problems later in the pregnancy.
